Hanging on for the Ride

So, this past 6 weeks have been like a roller coaster and I feel like I am hanging on for dear life not knowing what twist and turn are up ahead, but truly enjoying the ride and loving every new surprise. I will do the back story later of knowing that I was to start a new CC in the fall ... but that is what I am doing! God is so good, every time I think "no this isnt for me, I dont have it in me" He is faithful to give me multiple confirmations within no time. Today I spent the day at the Monterey CC to get ideas. I was not particularly struck by anything I saw, honestly it was a lot like our campus, which was great. But the people how I talked with impacted me greatly! I spoke with the director for about 20-30 mintues and that alone was worth the drive. She was such a godly, humble vessel that the Lord spoke through. Not knowing me at all she totally encouraged me in ways she could not have known I needed. I asked her for advice for a few specific things and she gave me the best advice ... she told me to continually seek the Lord. She reminded me that I am a wife and mother before a CC director and I need to always be asking the Lord to keep those priorities in check. She shared with me how this is a ministry and I need to treat it as such. She reminded me to choose my tutors carefully since I need to be able to know I can count on them and trust their decisions. Her godly humility just radiated from her and affected me in a way I can not yet put into words. Thank you Father for this woman. Thank you for her encouragement and warmth. Thank you for loving me and guiding me. Thank you that this is not my project but yours and for some crazy reason you have allowed me to be in the front seat for the ride and are allowing me to reap all the blessings of seeing this miracle unfold! Wow!! I almost feel like I know how Moses must have felt ... or should have felt when you asked him to lead your people out of Egypt.

  1. T, this is beautiful. Thank you for including me and sharing this process with me/us. It is wonderful to see you grow, step out of your comfort zone, see how God is planning your path before your each and every step, and see you shine. Not in your own abilities, but shine as a reflection of God's glory in your life. I am so proud of you! I am honored to walk beside you on this journey and continue to lift you up in prayer. I love you, friend!! Amy :)
